C.A.R.’s Homeowners Insurance Helpline is a FREE C.A.R. member benefit created to collect information on the real-world challenges REALTORS® face when dealing with insurance issues and to direct members to resources to help them navigate the state’s evolving insurance landscape. 

Members can be connected to resources including information on finding an insurance carrier, escrow impounds, the California Fair Plan, inspections, disaster relief, closing transactions, renewals, and more. 

Inquiries can be submitted online and a C.A.R. Insurance Liaison will respond with the available resources within one business day.

Please note: While this helpline is intended to direct members to insurance information and resources, the liaison may not be able to offer a specific solution to your issue. By providing information about the challenges you and your clients are facing regarding insurance, C.A.R. will be able to advocate for practical solutions and use those insights to inform policy efforts statewide.

Additionally, we wish to collect information from members about the biggest challenges and pain points, which can both be shared with the Department of Insurance as well as used to identify legislative solutions and help guide the creation of new products and services.
